B2 Radio-
29/ 11/ 13 – 01/12/13 – I was chosen to represent my radio show (The Update Hour) at ‘The Clothes Show Live’ where I gathered multiple interviews from members of the public and celebrities. Laura and I went all weekend from one until six to get as many interviews possible, despite being the only group to do this. This experience helped me to understand the equipment used to record vox pops. A problem I came across when recording was when public members were too quiet when responding- I had to then edit the audio which made the audio lose quality. Most members of the public felt a bit shy towards the interviews so most people we asked did not want to be interviewed. Also, some people we did interview would give very basic answers which tested our presenting abilities to get some people to expand on their answers.
20/12/13- I was chosen to co-host the Christmas special for B2 Radio which was aired through every classroom for an hour. Callum Wilkes was the main host- We talked about lots of Christmassy things such as traditions, worst gifts and our christmas morning routine. The show apparently had around 40 listeners which was the most the station have had! I had a lot of fun doing the show and I’m currently enjoying learning a lot about radio even though I am specialising in TV.
